T-34/76 beute Panzer, Ukraine 1944

After completing couple of Sherman tanks I decided to make a change and build a T-34 instead. Already having a specific vehicle choosen for my build I started with basic assembly and also scratchbuilt the turret schurzen, that are, as you can see in the original picture taken from a Pzkpfw III and modified to fit the T-34 Formochka turret. The tank comes from a unidentified unit, most likely operating during the 1943/44 campaign in Ukraine. The tank also has remnants of, what appears to be, brackets for hull schurzen. The reason for attaching a piece of some material on the muzzle of the barrel is unknown to me.

"Emcha" - Soviet Sherman M4A2 76, Germany 1945

I was wanting to take a break from the tedious job of upgrading the calliope launcher so I took on another Sherman instead. This time it's a Soviet (who could expect that? :) ) vehicle operating within one of the Guards Corps in Germany during the spirng of 1945. The base kit is DML with some upgrades from tasca, 3d printed periscope guards and rear light guards, some PE parts and scratchbuilding. Bicycles come from two different manufacturers, the smaller one is resin Royal Model kit and the bigger injected plastic one is from Diopark, both excellent with excellent details and PE parts. The most time consuming part of this build were the T49 Modelkasten tracks, but the effect was worth the effort. Hope you like it. Although I won't paint it very soon I'm happy another Sherman is completed and joins the ranks on the shelf instead of lying in the box...
